Arsenal 3-4 Liverpool as Coutinho’s double put Liverpool in commanding position, Arsenal took on Liverpool in the opening premier league game on Sunday, 14th August and it turned out to be a quite a game at Emirates. Arsenal dominated the first 45 minutes but it took over 30 minutes for them to finally break the deadloack. Walcott missed the penalty but minutes later made amends with a nicely taken goal. However Liverpool scored with a stunning freekick from Coutinho. After the break Liverpool produce 15 minutes of magic scoring twice and taking the lead to 3-1 at Emirates and match ended at 4-3.

Liverpool edged out Arsenal in a stunning Premier League opening weekend encounter at Emirates Stadium. Theo Walcott fired in the first goal for Arsenal in the 31st minute moments after missing a penalty. Philippe Coutinho pulled one back with a brilliant free-kick before Adam Lallana fired in after the break. Coutinho poked in his second and Sadio Mane slammed home, before Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a great solo goal and Calum Chambers headed in.
