The Federal Government of Nigeria has Cancelled and Removed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) In Nigeria as The Federal Government has scrapped the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in a bid to cut down excessive spending of government funds.
This was reached on 4th June 2016 at the Federal Executive Council Meeting. It will be recalled that the Federal Government had Cancelled & Removed Post UTME to enable JAMB carry out its statutory responsibility of conducting admissions into the nation’s Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education and now the Federal Government want to also Cancel and Remove National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) In Nigeria but it’s yet to be ascertain which governmental body would carry out its statutory responsibility.
Meanwhile, all National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members that are still currently serving now will be allowed to round off and finish their service for this year with full financial benefits.
Note: It is still a bid to cut down excessive spending of government funds and It is yet to be confirmed for now if the Federal Government has totally Cancelled & Removed NYSC In Nigeria.
