It was Manuel Lanzini who scored the opening goal but Chelsea equalized just before the break through Cesc Fabregas to make things interesting for the second half.
Both teams went into the break with score at 1-1 but it was West Ham who took the lead again in second half when Andy Carroll made it 2-1 just like the earlier league game between the two but Fabregas brough Chelsea back into the game with a penalty late in the game.
