Nigeria Federal High Court Insists that Olisa Metuh Must Face Criminal Trial, this statement was made to effect at a sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, as Nigeria Federal High Court rejects the application by National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh to stop his criminal trail for allegedly collecting N400 from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
Nigeria Federal High Court aslso stated that Olisa Metuh is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a seven-count of charge of criminal breach of trust and money laundering to the tune of N400m.
Justice Okon Abang, dismissed Olisa Metuh’s application for lacking in merit, adding that it did not imply that Metuh had been pronounced guilty, but he would have to make his defence.
The Judge further said Metuh needed to offer explanations on how he received and disbursed the money given to him by the office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA).
Metuh has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and that he only received the sum of N400m from the office of the former NSA to carry out an assignment for former President Goodluck Jonathan.
