Recently I saw Facebook that says Help people know the right way to say you name. How do you pronounce your name?. Although I usually have problems with mispronounced name (my name is Rotimi Bolorunduro) Then Facebook wants to help out as my name is not an english name.
A few number of Facebook users are noticing a prompt on their Facebook profiles, asking them how to pronounce their names. LiveLoaded Technology Category confirmed the feature with Facebook earlier.
If you click on the prompt, social network with show you a list of pronunciation options, as well as button to play a sample pronunciation clip.
If none of the predetermined clips quite get your name right, you can type in your own pronunciation key.
If you don’t see the prompt, you can also manually check for the feature from the ‘About’ tab on your profile, although it still won’t show up for everyone.
Next time you’re meeting up in person with someone you’ve only known online, maybe Facebook can help you out.
