As a way of allowing a hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration, the Lagos State government has lifted the order restricting human and vehicular movement for the September monthly environmental sanitation exercise.
This was made known by the permanent secretary, Ministry of the Environment, Oluwatoyin Onisarotu, who also advised Lagosians to celebrate in moderation.
However, he advised them to use the opportunity of the festive period to clean their environment and properly bag their wastes to allow for easy collection and disposal to designated dumpsites of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority and PSP operators.
Onisarotu urged Lagos residents to join the state in its crusade to attain a cleaner, healthier and sustainable environment, capable of promoting economic growth and wellbeing of the entire citizenry.
